The wonderful Chateau du Lude is open throughout the year. Â It is probably the best chateau in the Region. Â You can explore the chateau that is the home to the Count and Countess or walk through the beautiful gardens on the banks of the Loir river. Â
40 mins drive from 5 Grande Rue is the excellent museum for the Le Mans circuit. Â Here you can see some of the cars that have raced the Le Mans 24H. Â The display cars cover the last 100 years of the race.
During the summer months canoes and paddle boards are available to rent from the Campsite in Le Lude. Â Paddling the river is a lovely way to explore the areas not often visited. Â 2 -3 km in either direction are old mills. Â

The town of Baugé is about 20 mins from the house.  In the town there is an interesting apothecary museum that supported the Hotel Dieu.  In addition, the town has a chateau - King Rene's Palace.  Both locations have guides and multimedia experiences. Â

There are many cycling and walking routes in the region, both on cycle paths and quiet roads. Many of our guests stop here for a night on a multi-day tour of the region.
