Lori is from Canada originally and spent over 22 years in the Canadian Forces as an Artillery Officer before meeting Gavin and after several years of long-distance travel between Canada and the UK, we were married in 2003. Since then, Lori worked for a variety of companies in the field of Learning and Development.

Gavin is from Scotland originally and spent over 37 years in the British Forces as a Logistics Officer, which meant we travelled all over the UK and spent a few years in Italy.  After retiring from the British Forces, Gavin worked for 7 years in the field of Science and Technology which took us to Southsea, UK, where we loved living beside the seaside.

Millie, the cockapoo is a recent addition to the family and we love taking her for walks in the beautiful countryside around Le Lude.

In October 2019, we decided to pursue our long-held dream of owning a B&B in France. After viewing over 25 properties, we fell in love with 5 Grande Rue as soon as we walked through the door and we hope you will too. We are passionate about sharing our home with you and carrying on the fine tradition of the original B&B owners, Simon and Susan. We both love entertaining and we look forward to a house filled with fun and laughter set in this picture postcard setting.
